LEICESTER GUILDHALL WEDDING VENUE

Leicester Guildhall is a Grade one listed timber-framed Leicester landmark dating back to 1390 when the Great Hall was built

The Guildhall is an historic 630 year old building and the oldest building still in use in the city.

Leicester Guildhall. The Great Hall is available as private hire for your wedding ceremony for up to 90 guests

The Mayors Parlour

For smaller wedding ceremonies up to 45 guests there is the Mayors Parlour room. An oak panelled room with a 15th century stained glass window and carved fireplace.

By arrangement it is possible to have your wedding car be granted special access to drive right up to the Guildhall building

Being in the town centre there are many bars where guests can meet and enjoy a drink within a short walking distance to the wedding ceremony

There are many city hotels to chose from if you would like to stay the night before your wedding. Its then a short walk to The Guildhall

Across the road there is also St Martins Lodge with 28 rooms.

Drinks reception

The Mayor’s Parlour with its stained-glass windows and oak panelled walls and ornate fireplace is a perfect location for a drinks reception

After the wedding ceremony you can host a drinks reception in the Mayor’s Parlour

Or with its stained glass window and ornate carved fireplace the room can be used as a dramatic backdrop to your wedding portraits along with the outside space

Some couples chose to have the wedding ceremony in the Guildhall and the reception next door in St Martins House.
